Organiser Agreement
Your night, your money, our platform.
What you agree to when you sell a night on GoldenDoko Events. Short, and written to be read before your first paid night, not after.

1. Who this is between
GoldenDoko Events is operated by GoldenDoko LLC, an Ohio limited liability company (“we”, “us”). You are the organiser named on your organiser page — the person or business running the night. By creating an organiser account you accept this agreement on behalf of that organiser, and you confirm you are entitled to.
2. What we provide
The platform: your organiser page, your event pages, the box office and checkout, ticket codes and the emails that carry them, the door scanner and its offline cache, the back office, refunds and cancellation tools, and the marketing sender. We keep the site up, keep buyers’ data safe, and answer to buyers for the one thing that is ours — delivering a valid ticket and validating it at the door (ticket terms, §10).
3. What you provide
The event is yours. The line-up, the venue, the date, the promises on the page, what happens in the room and whether it happens at all. You are responsible for having the right to run it — the venue’s agreement, the performers’ agreement, any permit or licence your city or venue requires — and for the truth of what your page says.
You are responsible for your refund policy. If you do not write one, the GoldenDoko default shown under Refunds on your page applies to your buyers, and you agree to honour it. Refunds you issue come out of your ticket money.
4. Money
Where the money goes is one of two places, and your Payments page says which.
Your own Stripe account (Connect). You connect a Stripe account and buyers pay into it directly. You are the seller and the merchant of record; Stripe pays you on its schedule; disputes and chargebacks are raised against your account and you answer them. Stripe’s own terms apply to that account. This is the standard way to sell here.
GoldenDoko collects for you. Where we have agreed it in writing, buyers pay GoldenDoko LLC and we are the merchant of record. We hold your ticket money and pay it out to you after the night, less any refunds, chargebacks and their fees, on the timeline we agreed. Because the money sits with us, we may hold a reserve against refunds until the night has happened.
Our fee is currently nothing. The platform fee on ticket sales is 0% today. If that changes it applies only to nights created after the change, with notice to you, and never to a night already on sale. What stays with you either way: Stripe’s card-processing fees(about 2.9% + 30¢ per charge), which you can absorb or pass on to the buyer as a visible line, and taxes.
5. Taxes
You are responsible for every tax on your tickets: sales or admission tax, your city’s amusement or entertainment tax, and income tax on what you earn. The platform lets you add an admission tax as its own line at checkout and records it on every order; working out whether you owe one, at what rate, and paying it is yours. Stripe issues your tax forms (such as a 1099-K) for a connected account; where GoldenDoko collects for you, we report what the law requires of us.
6. Publishing a night
A night can be published when the checklist in the editor is complete. For a paid night that also means: you have accepted the current version of this agreement, and either your Stripe account is connected with charges enabled or GoldenDoko has agreed to collect for you. Your first publish is approved by a person at GoldenDoko; after that you publish yourself. We may take a night down if it breaks this agreement, the law, or the venue’s rules, or if buyers are being misled.
7. Buyers’ data
You see the names, emails and answers of the people who bought tickets to your nights, and nobody else’s. Use them to run the night and to contact those buyers about it. Marketing email goes only to buyers who opted in, only through the platform’s sender, with a working unsubscribe — you may not export the list into another tool for marketing. Door devices cache holder names for the night and forget them after. Our privacy notice describes the rest.
8. If a night changes or is cancelled
Tell your buyers first, through the platform, so the record is one place. If you cancel, the platform refunds every order in full and emails every buyer; the refunds come out of your ticket money. If you postpone, tickets carry over unless your policy says otherwise. A night that is cancelled cannot be republished; duplicate it instead.
9. Your account
Keep your login to yourself; add team members through the Team page rather than sharing a password. You are responsible for what is done under your organiser’s logins. We may suspend an account that is used to mislead buyers, sell nights that do not exist, or break the law.
10. Liability, in both directions
We are responsible for the platform working as described in §2. We are not responsible for your event — whether it happens, who performs, what the venue does — nor for indirect or consequential losses. Our total liability to you for a night will not exceed the platform fees we earned on it, which today is nothing beyond putting it right. If a claim is made against us because of your event, your page, or your breach of this agreement, you agree to cover the reasonable costs of dealing with it. Nothing here removes a right that cannot lawfully be removed.
11. Changes and the law
This agreement is versioned (this is version 2026-09-18). When it changes in substance we ask you to accept the new version before your next paid night; nights already on sale continue under the version you accepted. Ohio law applies, and the courts of Stark County, Ohio have jurisdiction. Questions to contact@goldendoko.com.
